just watched. It was too windy to do much more
than that, so we had to come back another day for a taste of the real thing.
The real thing
came in May, when we were
strapped into hang gliders with guys
who were supposed to know what they were doing. Then this little plane
towed us up to 2,000 feet, and we glided back down.

| It was a great view from up there, with
nothing between me and the ground half a mile below. The guy
said I should let go of him and steer for a while.
I hung on tight. Very tight. I was terrified. |
