I
left Atlanta with Mary Ann on Saturday morning, March 12. Dave and Myles
led the way in their car. We stopped for lunch in Acworth, then drove up
to Chattanooga. We visited the aquarium there, then drove over to a rental
cabin near Trenton, GA (the orange circle). The next morning, Myles and I
took hang gliding lessons and we all paid a return visit to
Chattanooga in the afternoon for lunch and site seeing. About 2 pm, I bid
the others good bye, and headed north on my own.
The orange route on the map is all Interstate. That was necessary to accommodate the schedules of my fellow travelers, all of whom have jobs. The blue route is my east-bound route home, 17 days later.
