In December, we made a trip up to Illinois.  Mary Ann flew up to visit with her dad in Springfield, and I drove up with a truck load of tools to help Dylan and Laura get their house fixed up for the arrival of Baby Fenley in April.

They live in Watson, about a hundred miles south of Springfield.

I stayed off the Interstates and found a ferry across the Ohio River.  This is taken in Kentucky looking over at Illinois.

We put down carpet in the nursery.  I'd never done that before, but it turned out to be easier than we thought.  Dylan rented a stretcher and got it down nice and tight.

While we were up there, we visited with our old friends, Karel and Linda Keldermans.  He played the carillon for us at our wedding 23 years before.  It was their handmade house that inspired us to build our Mountain House.  This is actually the second one they built after the first one burned down.
