The nonprofit group that Mary Ann works for had a contract with CDC to develop and implement a public health training program.  It was to teach African health care workers how to screen for HIV in TB clinics.  She and her boss spent two weeks in Tanzania conducting the training.  They were in a rural village on coast, worked pretty much nonstop for two weeks.  CDC reported that the training was very successful, and it's likely that she'll repeat it in one or two more African countries this Spring.
