chronicles_icon.gif (2528 bytes)Tales: The Fenley Chronicles

A good story takes on it's own life; growing and evolving as each person recounts it.  As a self-proclaimed Irishman I feel a connection to a fine tale, and a paternal interest in those which I myself began.  Life is full of worthwhile stories for the telling - it only remains to properly decorate the facts and place them in a sufficiently interesting frame.  Anyone who knows me has heard a few of these tales, passed along only through the oral tradition and polished from years of telling and re-telling.

Recently it has come to my attention that humans do not live forever, and that given the paucity of fellow storytellers in the immediate neighborhood, many of my favorite tales could cease to be spun should I become indisposed.   Therefore I have decided to put down some of the better ones in print, banking them, if you will, against future misfortune.  Although the word processor is a poor substitute for a well-oiled chap giving one more rendition of a family fable over a pint of Guinness, these transcriptions may yet prove to be of some use.

Here's how it began: I awoke at 5 am one crystal clear morning in a campground in the Colorado Rockies, made a pot of coffee and decided to put down the first story you find above, "Angels Die Hard".    By 6:30 everyone was up, and the tale was complete.
